In the Gala event which drew great attention of the documentary directors from Turkey and also around the world,

 

In the National Amateur Category "Half Human Half Snake" ( Yarısı İnsan Yarısı Yılan ) won the Best Documentary Award; "Cneydo" won the Turkish National Lottery Administration Special Prize and "Concubine" ( Kuma ) won the Turkish Republic, Ministry of Culture and Tourism Special Prize.

 

In the National Professional Category, "Beklemek" won the Best Documentary Award; "Time of the Crows, Time of the Khalifs" ( Kargalar ve Halife Yılları ) won the Turkish National Lottery Administration Special Prize and "800 Kilometers Hurdles" ( 800 Kilometre Engelli ) won the Turkish Republic, Ministry of Culture and Tourism Special Prize.

 

In the International Category, "Ub Lama" ( Ulan Batur'lu Lama ) from Lithuania won the Best Documentary Award; "The Kid and The Clown" ( Çocuk ve Palyaço ) from Denmark won the Turkish National Lottery Administration Special Prize and Iranian documentary "Mokan" ( Palmiyeler) won the Turkish Republic, Ministry of Culture and Tourism Special Prize.

 

140 documentaries from Turkey's National Amateur Category out of 340 documentaries from 41 other countries attended the event and particularly the ones awarded in 2012 TRT Documentary Awards, will be broadcasted on TRT Documentary & Tourism TV Channel and on the other TRT TV channels as well.
