Clarification Text within the Scope of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data

Dear TRT International Documentary Awards participant,

Welcome to the portal prepared for the TRT International Documentary Awards. From this page forward, we will need some of your personal data to get to know you better and to carry out the competition processes more successfully. • Your visual records (photograph): "Data processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right" and "Presence of explicit consent," in order to verify your identity and ensure your participation in the competition.

• Your education level and professional information: "Data processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right," in order to carry out the competition processes effectively.

• Your address, telephone, and electronic mail address: "Data processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right" and "Data processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject," in order to communicate with you.

• Your CV/Resume information: "Data processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject," in order to get to know you better.

• Your work/entry information: "Data processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right," in order to carry out the competition processes effectively.

We process all data through our site by automatic means via the portal. We may transfer the personal data we process to the software company from which we receive services to ensure the operation of the systems. Other than this, we do not share your personal data with unauthorized or unrelated third parties.

You may submit your requests within the scope of Article 11 of the KVKK, which regulates the "rights of the data subject," to us in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller.
